Slow is a feature film about the crushing weight of protective love and the unbearable architecture of grief.
Inspired by my own life with a brother who survived a severe infancy brain injury, Slow is an intimate, quiet exploration of a family's unspoken trauma. It follows a woman locked in a silent spiritual crisis. To protect her brother from the devastating truth of their parents' deaths, she maintains a fragile, fabricated reality—sustaining his beautiful, untethered world while she suffocates under a dark, unnamed weight.
Told through small moments, heavy silences, and the sharp sting of memory, Slow captures the moment a protective lie shatters. It is a story about the friction of love, the necessity of truth, and the slow, agonising process of learning how to finally weep for what we have lost.
