Welcome. My name is Fehraz Lateef.

My name carries a blueprint for who I am and how I move through the world. My first name means perspicacious—to possess a sharp, penetrating insight. My last name loosely translates to kindness, but more specifically means silken or translucent. The poet Rumi spoke of this when he asked, "There is a door between one heart and another. How can there be a door where no wall remains?" That place where no wall remains is Lateef. My purpose is to look with insight—to thin the walls of division, to bring them to dissolve, and to speak openly, with sincerity and authenticity.

Through poetry, story, pictures, and film, the work is to watch for the unseen and listen for the unheard.
